Yes. Solar panels still generate electricity from daylight, not just direct sunshine. Output will vary by roof, system size, season and weather, which is why REST models the proposal around your property rather than using a generic estimate.
A typical 3-bedroom home may use an estimated 3.5kWp to 4.5kWp system, but the correct design depends on your annual consumption, roof space, orientation, shading and whether you want battery storage or EV charging.
The Smart Export Guarantee is the route for being paid for eligible surplus electricity exported to the grid. Your supplier, tariff and installed system details determine what you can receive.
As part of the HIES consumer protection framework, eligible deposits and stage payments may be protected under the applicable terms. REST can explain exactly what is covered before you commit.
In many cases, yes. A battery can often be added to an existing solar array using suitable inverter and battery technology. REST would first check compatibility, space, usage and the original system setup.
Finance is arranged through FCA-authorised lenders including Tandem Bank and Propensio Finance. REST UK acts as a credit broker, not a lender, and all finance is subject to status and affordability checks.
